The EMT will provide emergency medical care to guests and team members in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and handling complex medical and safety situations.
Provide basic life support and emergency care services to park guests and team members.
Assess and screen patients in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and medical director protocols.
Lift and transport patients as necessary.
Operate medical carts safely to and from emergency and non-emergency scenes.
Coordinate patient care with inter-agency personnel (Fire, EMS, Police) and other emergency responders.
Maintain health service supplies and equipment inventory.
Complete and submit all necessary documentation, including patient care records and injury reports.
Assist with facility inspections, safety audits, and other assigned duties.
Stay current on professional training, workshops, and safety protocols.
Perform duties in a safe, professional, and confidential manner, always prioritizing patient care.
Adhere to all safety rules and assist with ride evacuations and security support when necessary.
Conduct mobile medical patrols during park operating hours.
Prior experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as a New York State EMT is preferred.
Current American Heart Association certifications preferred.
Basic knowledge of OSHA, hazard communications, and safety training.
Proficiency with computer and medical record systems.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
All employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.
