Position Overview: 

As a LEGOLAND NY Seasonal Retail Associate, you will be an integral part of the guest experience by offering exceptional service and maintaining the retail operations within the park. Your primary duties will include assisting guests with purchases, stocking merchandise, and ensuring the retail environment is clean and welcoming. 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  1. Customer Service: 
  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude. 
  • Assist guests in finding and selecting merchandise. 
  • Provide product information, including pricing, promotions, and availability. 
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. 

  2. Sales Transactions: 

  • Operate POS systems, handle credit, and other forms of payment accurately. 
  • Process sales transactions quickly and efficiently. 
  • Ensure proper handling of returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with park policies. 

 

  3. Merchandise Management: 

  • Stock shelves, displays, and fixtures with merchandise in an organized and attractive manner. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors. 
  • Assist with the unpacking, tagging, and pricing of new merchandise. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory records as directed. 

 

   4. Store Maintenance: 

  • Keep the retail area clean, tidy, and well-organized. 
  • Arrange displays to highlight featured items or seasonal promotions. 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old  
  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings during the park's operating season. 
  • Retail or Sales Experience: Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is preferred but not required. 
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks that involve repetitive motion. 
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with guests and team members effectively.

In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.

 

Pay Range

From USD $16.00/Hr.
