Position Overview: 

 

As a Seasonal Resort Operations/Rides Operator Associate, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience for guests by operating rides, providing exceptional service, ensuring safety, and maintaining park operations. This role involves training and operating rides safely, interacting with guests, assisting with events, and supporting various park departments as needed such as, but not limited to, Admissions, overall park presentation, handling Point of Sale transactions, and working in retail departments throughout the park. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Guest Interaction: 
  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude. 

  • Provide information and assistance regarding park attractions, events, and amenities. 

  • Address guest questions, concerns, and feedback professionally and courteously. 

 Ride Operation: 

  • Safely operate and control amusement rides according to established procedures and safety guidelines. 

  • Manage lines efficiently, provide clear instructions to guests and maintain order in waiting areas. 

  • Be prepared to respond to ride malfunctions, emergencies, or other unexpected situations in accordance with training and safety protocols. 

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth ride operations and guest satisfaction 

 Resort Quality: 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas, including ride queues, guest seating, and common areas.  Keeping walkways and restrooms clean. 

  • The use of power equipment, such as air blowers and pressure washers 

  • Report maintenance needs and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. 

 Team Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with other associates and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. 

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required. 

  • Cross-training in other departments, such as but not limited to admissions, retail point of sale. 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old  

  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings during the park's operating season. 

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. 

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions. 

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members. 

  • Onsite Drug Screen – 4 panel oral swab

In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.

Pay Range

From USD $16.00/Hr.
