Guest Experience Host - Costume Character and Special Events

We are currently recruiting costume performers to be part of our costume character team bringing to life PEPPA and GEORGE. You will also be required to act as a buddy for our onsite characters, so very good visitor interaction along with great performance and improvisational skills are a must. This role entails a meet and greet photo element as well as potentially working in other roles across the attraction as required.

Responsibilities:

• Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to Guest Service, and demonstrates the Merlin Values at every opportunity.
• Seeks out guest contact and displays enthusiasm and boundless amounts of fun energy.
• Ensure our extended lines are managed in a safe way while still delivering an excellent guest experience.
• Ensure all public areas have well stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and that the areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day.
• To follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department’s operating plan.
• Responsibility to ensure compliance of Health, Safety & Security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations.

• An outgoing personality with high energy!
• Strong stamina and ability to move freely in costume.
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Excellent improvisation skills
• A proactive approach - being able to 'think on your feet' and take ownership of issues that may arise.
• A desire to create memorable experiences for guests.
• Team player - ability to work within a close-knit team while also being able to work independently.

• 6 months – 1 year experience working in attractions, entertainment, or customer service-based positions preferred.
